Member comment:
"An outstanding TOP NOTCH Oral Surgeon. . .  He is well worth the trip to Pikesville.   I've never met a doctor, dentist or anyone with his gentleness, fantastic chair-side manner and caring attitude.  I told him I liked him at the end of our visit after giving him a huge file of info on me; his return reply was, "I like you, too." As a CFS/Fibro/TMJ patient, I've never had a doctor tell me he/she liked me. LOL. A treat to be sure and the tooth he pulled is finally gone along with the instrument someone broke off in it many years ago. The pain I've had was absolute minimal compared to the agony I've been through for years."

Help people with incomes under poverty levels with doctor visits, hospitalizations, prescription services, and insurance premiums. Each state program has its own criteria for establishing eligibility. As over mid 2006, 41 states offer Medical Assistance Programs.

The Medicine Program

NORD's Medication Assistance Programs

Since 1987, NORD, the National Organization for Rare Disorders, has administered programs to assist uninsured or under-insured individuals in securing life-saving or life-sustaining
medications. In addition to the estimated 50 million Americans who have no health insurance, an increasing number of insured individuals have policies that do not reimburse for prescription drugs. Others have policies with low annual caps on prescription drug expenditures.
