- VA, 2007: "Medicaid Works."
This new work incentive opportunity offered by the Virginia Medicaid
program for individuals with disabilities who are employed or who want
to go to work. Medicaid Works is a Medicaid plan option that will
enable workers with disabilities to earn higher income and retain more
in savings, or resources, while ensuring continued Medicaid coverage.
This voluntary plan option will allow enrollees to have annual earnings
in 2007 as high as $40,905 and resources up to $25,577. Medicaid
Works is available to current and new Medicaid enrollees who are blind
or have a disability, have income in 2007 of no more than $681 per
month for a single individual ($913 if a couple) and resources of no
more than $2000 if single ($3000 if a couple). To apply or
