James Baraniuk, MD     (202) 444-8243
Georgetown University
3800 Reservoir Rd Gl008, Washington DC 20007-2113
Dr. Baraniuk at Georgetown.edu
Neuroimmune regulation of mucosal function in rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma, and chronic fatigue syndrome.
In October 2006, Dr. Baraniuk received NIH CFS Research Funding:

James Baraniuk, M.D., Georgetown University, Washington D.C., has found that despite its diverse clinical syndromes, the CFS proteome (the entire group of proteins in an organism or system) is the same, suggesting a strong relationship with malfunctioning of the central nervous system. Dr. Baraniuk developed the first predictive model of CFS based solely on objective data and he now proposes to recruit a new group of CFS and Healthy Control subjects to determine if the proteins in their cerebrospinal fluid will be a predictive marker of the spectrum of CFS symptoms. There is a high probability that these methods and markers will be of diagnostic value and will be useful for assessing changes over time in disease severity and treatment effects.

" She was incredibly concerned, and took care of me way past her specialty.  She was worried that I was way too thin, and helped pinpoint the cause of my problems as my gallbladder.  She sent me to my obesity surgeon after basic testing.  He did further testing and removed my gallbladder.  She also cleared my record of the false finding of Lyme disease.  She saw me way after I was done with the infectious disease consult to make sure that I was thriving and gaining weight.  She was one of the most concerned doctors I've ever seen." - Beth

Does ANSAR autonomic nervous system testing:
http://www.ans-hrv.com/faq.htm

ANSAR autonomic testing  http://www.ans-hrv.com/
Offices we've heard have ANSAR Equipment: Bernad, S. Shor, Vinitsky.
ANSAR ANS testing, found in some doctor's offices, is minimally symptom provoking compared to tilt table tests. The standing tests are 5 minutes and the base lines are done sitting in a chair. Six consecutive deep breaths are a part of the test that reveal about the parasympathetic nervous system functioning.
